Regina Keizer's works are mainly to be considered as paintings. But her overall practice tends towards the diverse regions of a gesammtkunstwerk, everything is somehow related. Painting, for her, is a registration of a (life) performance. Her workprocess revolves around the unguarded moment, which in essence is a merely unconscious process, built from experience and (bodily) intelligence. Her works function as an antidote to an over-rationalising emotional mind, but those emotions will come to the world as objects, objects that have their own abstract identity.
She holds a MA in Visual Arts, Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp Belgium.
